Public Town Hall Meeting On Pandemic Influenza

The American Red Cross of Southwestern Indiana is encouraging members of the community to attenda free Public Town Hall Meeting On Pandemic Influenza being held this week thanks in part to the Vanderburgh County Health Department. The dates of the forums are:

Central Library, Browning Room A & B
Wednesday, August 26, 2009
9:30am to 11:30am
2:00pm to 4:00pm

Deaconess Hospital, Johnson Hall
Health Science Building
Thursday, August 27, 2009
6:30pm to 8:30pm

Red Cross Assists Local Family after a Fire

Red Cross There for Family Forced From Home

(Evansville) – The Red Cross of Southwestern Indiana is assisting a family of two that was forced from their home after an early morning fire on Tuesday, August 18th.

The fire happened at 513 South Linwood Avenue. Red Cross volunteers responded to the call for help early this morning and placed the family in a hotel room. The Red Cross will keep the family in a hotel for two additional nights and is already working with the family to find permanent housing.

Family members will also receive food and clothing as they lost nearly everything in the early morning fire.
